This shares with you how the cultivation system in Heavenly Peaks works. The game takes place in a realm where time is greatly slowed.  6 months is equal to a single day in the "outside realm".

Each day is split up into 6 blocks of time. 2 morning phases, 2 day phases and 2 evening phases. Unlike most games, the player isn't required to sleep every night -- instead it is tied to the player's fatigue.

Cultivation allows the player to perform two very important tasks in game.

• The first is to gather world qi -- that is ambient energy within the environments. This can be gathered in other ways as well, such as elixirs or absorbing the energy from potent energy sources.
• To improve the player's strength. This can happen by infusing the world qi gathered into a stat of the player's choice.

There are two methods for doing this, the first is Quick Cultivation which will use up 2 blocks of time. You will gain world qi according to various factors. The second is called Inner Cultivation. You will recede into your inner world, and there you will go into deep cultivation. This allows the player to automate the process of cultivation and also explore their consciousness to gain self awareness by moving deeper within.

Inner Cultivation will continue until you forcefully stop it or your body uses all of it's fatigue. In your Inner Realm, fatigue costs are substantially less meaning you can meditate for days, weeks or sometimes longer in a simple way that doesn't require the player to deal with boring activities.

When you awaken the days will have progressed accordingly and the results of your cultivation will become apparent.

Quick Cultivation is perfect for when you want to multi-task in a given day or time period while Inner Cultivation is good for when you don't have a specific task to do and want to grow your strength.

Once you've acquired world qi, you can then use it to grow stronger.  You have several stats which can be improved using your newly acquired world qi.

While inside your inner realm, you will have access to improving them. By spending a bit of world qi the stat you choose will rise, according to the training bonus associated with that stat. Stats have roughly three values associated with them, Base value, Training Bonus and a Cost.

Visually, it looks like this:

Strength - 10 / (110%) *25*

10 is the base value of your strength. 110% is the training value and 25 is the cost to improve the strength stat.

By spending 25 world qi, your base value will increase. Your training bonus will simultaneously decrease slightly and your cost rises slightly as well. The amount of increase you gain is affected directly by your current rank as a cultivator as well as the training bonus of that stat. For example :

Strength - 10 / (200%) *25*

In the example above, (assuming you were to gain 5 points for each increase) if you were to increase your strength stat you would gain 5*200% (that is 2x) making your strength look something like this:

Strength - 20 / (150%) *27*

In this way , you can improve your character's stats until you are ready to break through to the next rank. Raising your stats in this way is sure to make Bai Huan powerful enough to contend with all the challenges of Heavenly Peaks.
