Project News

This year, the focus is on adding more content in a comfortable way. Last year I  spent a great deal of my time building this game. For those of you who may not know, this project actually started last year sometime around February.

Since that time I've managed to create something that allows players to have anywhere from 12-20 hours of gameplay - largely depending on how you pace things.

For perspective, I spent thousands of man hours on this project last year. Crazy right!?

Now that I look back on it, it was an incredible feat for a solo dev (while also working on a whole other project, learning the language and system, writing, attempting to keep my head above water with bills). It was never meant to be a sustainable workflow though.  I sacrificed a lot personally to do this. I did this willingly so that the project would be in a better position for development this coming year. As such, despite the fact that I'm still recovering -- I'm optimistic about the future of Heavenly Peaks.

I'm now looking to revamp my workflow so that I can stay in a good place both mentally and physically, while giving players the content they desire. I've also been finding better ways to keep players privy to what I've been doing.

The next public version of the game will release on the 28th of this month, and as always you can keep up with the most current build of the project here.
